We do our best work in the world when our bodies are able, our minds are clear and we are supported within and responsible to our families and communities.
But then there's reality! And the reality is that this all happens amidst 10 hour work days, children flinging food, spouses looking for keys, socks without mates, too much TV, joyful days then periods of confusion, pain, zoning out and then coming back home to ourselves again.
WHAT TO DO?!?!?

The Functional Medicine model is an individualized, patient-centered, science-based approach that empowers patients and practitioners to work together to address the underlying causes of disease and promote optimal wellness. It requires a detailed understanding of each patient’s genetic, biochemical, and lifestyle factors and leverages that data to direct personalized treatment plans that lead to improved patient outcomes.
World reknown Ayurvedic physician Dr Vasant Lad defines Ayurveda: "Ayurveda is more than a mere healing system; it is a science and an art of appropriate living that helps to achieve longevity. It can guide every individual in the proper choice of diet, living habits and exercise to restore balance in the body, mind and consciousness, thus preventing disease from gaining a foothold in the system."
ARNP Ehrlich believes we start our healing in whatever shoes we currently stand and that the goals of a clear mind & the most capable body are possible for everybody. ARNP Ehrlich has been studying Ayurveda with Dr Vasant Lad, BAMS, since 1998. Inspired by Ayurveda, she returned for RN training and worked at Harborview Medical Center for 11 years, first as an RN and then as an ARNP in the medical respite program caring for homeless adults requiring acute care and wrap-around services. She was certified in Functional Medicine in 2014 and has been focused on primary care and Functional Medicine at Swedish in Seattle since 2015.
Thank you for your interest and curiosity about your health. Together we rise.
